You will need to pay a fee for the Registrar's attendance prior to the ceremony You will also have to give notice of marriage to the Superintendent Registrar of the district in which you live. This notice must be given in person by one of the couple The Superintendent Registrar can only permit a civil, non-religious ceremony. Any music, readings or performances, which form any part of the ceremony, must be secular (non-religious). The content of the ceremony must be agreed in advance with the Superintendent Registrar who will be attending the ceremony Thinking of renewing your Marriage Vows? This is a very personal ceremony for any couple wishing to celebrate their marriage. It might be to celebrate a special anniversary, or an event for family and friends following a marriage abroad.
